Review: Midway Ice Castles

 Midway Ice Castles Review!

We had the SUPER fun experience of visiting the Midway, UT Ice Castles last Saturday.  It is a little over 45 minutes from Salt Lake City.  It is well worth the visit!  They have been building the ice castles for several years now, but this year has been the shortest season due to the warmer than normal weather.  If your interested in going, keep your eyes peeled on their facebook page as that is the most up to date information.  If you do get to go....USE the coupon code:  awesomeice for $2 Off!!!
There is lots of really "COOL" features!  This section (above) is called the Narrows.  It is really a tight fit!

There are led lights with special effects throughout! Ponds, fountains, lights, FIRE and music all add to the wonderful experience that IS the Ice Castles!

They also have a tunnel to crawl through that ends in a slide.  (There are no pictures of the slide, because I was the last one of our group, and I didn't know we were going on a tunnel/slide ride).
They even carved out/ built a Throne!

It is such a fun place to take pictures and just enjoy the ambiance!

At the end, they have hot chocolate and sweet rolls (etc) for sale for about $3.

Make sure you dress warm with good shoes!  You are walking on chunky ice....so its best to wear boots.  Also, bring your camera (I know...it kinda goes without saying...) OR a digital card and use one of the "loner" cameras that Sony has at their table set up as you enter.

I would recommend going early as the line to drive in gets really long.....like an hour wait LONG.

If you want more information, visit them HERE.  Or see their FB page...and don't forget the coupon code!

What a fun adventure!
